Product Description
AuTaq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable enzyme derived from Thermus aquaticus. This enzyme has been fundamental in the development and widespread adoption of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique.
AuTaq DNA Polymerase is produced recombinantly in Escherichia coli cells transformed with the cloned pol gene from Thermus aquaticus strain YT-1. The enzyme is purified to high homogeneity and tested for absence of contaminating nucleases and DNA.
Concentration: 1 U/μL
Key Advantages
- Robust performance: Reliable amplification across diverse templates
- TA cloning compatible: 3′-A overhangs facilitate direct cloning
- Cost-effective: Economical choice for routine PCR applications
